Dutch Flats
These flats, located at Nieuwenhuysenbuurt in Amsterdam, were built in 1953 during the reconstruction period, shortly after the Second World War. At a time when everything was in short supply the first residents could appreciate the freedom to furnish their own modern home.
The homes recently celebrated their 65th birthday but many of them suffer from drafts, moisture problems and noise. After considering the best approach, the decision was made to demolish the old flats and replace them with modern apartment buildings.
These flats are located on Nieuwenhuysenstraat, a street named after Frederik Nieuwenhuysen (1905-1945) who was a resistance fighter during the Second World War, born in Amsterdam and executed in Haarlem.

I’ve tried to make this asset as realistic as possible and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. The model has been optimised as much as possible without compromising the structure and detail of the original building. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.
