Description:

These trees were born from the desire to diversify the way trees from the Berlin city database can be represented in Cities Skylines. On my Berlin map, over 400,000 trees are now represented. 91,000 are Maples, and of those, the Acer Platanoides, commonly known as the "Norway Maple," appears almost 52,000 times. The very particular species Acer platanoides ‘Globosum’ and Acer platanoides ‘Columnare’ can be found around 1,600 times each. These trees are smaller, and fittingly, shaped like a globe and a column. They make great decorative trees for special places.

The original Norway Maple by MrMaison is simply a masterpiece. It is instantly recognizable with its bright green 5-lobed leaves, and the finely-folded bark on its trunk. Its branches droop in an unmistakable way under its tall domed crown. Always generous, MrMaison has shared his source files with me so that I could bend and tweak them into the four new variations. Bonus: the new trees use the same texture set as the original, so if you already have it, and use LSM, these variations are practically free to your RAM and pagefile.
