Berlin True 1:1
After working on a Berlin savegame for a year and a half (750+ iterations), I’ve decided to start over. First thing’s first: the map. As a city painter, this is the map I would have wanted. It’s as precise as possible, centered on the S-Bahn ring, with almost no allowances for the sake of gameplay.
In the course of making this map, I discovered that terrain.party does not actually output 1:1 maps. It outputs 18km-square or 17km-square maps, while the game map is actually 17.28km wide. This little 4% difference always nagged at me as I tried to jam epic buildings (i.e. martin’s Hauptbahnhof, the Reichstag, Treptowers) into spaces that weren’t quite big enough. This problem has been corrected here. This map is true 1:1 scale, meter by meter. I’ve gone to great lengths to check it and double-check it! For all I know, it could be the first true 1:1 map on the workshop.
This map uses only 3 vanilla tree types. Thanks CO for improving them with Parklife.
This map uses a couple of 2-lane highways from Mass Transit DLC. It will work for you if you don’t have the DLC, you’ll just have to rebuild some road sections manually. Also be sure to use MoveIt! to delete any pillars that block waterflow.

Special thanks to Sebastian, whose Berlin map has served me well for so long. Thanks to asset creators SvenBerlin and martinausBerlin, who, through this grand collaborative project, are now good friends. To BloodyPenguin too, because what could we do without his mods? This map expects you to immediately unlock all 81 of its tiles. I also gotta give props to jens, bennymedia, Drosovila, felixandre.hupka, bak90, and Feinbild, who have each made incredible Berlin assets. And finally to Avanya, who has advised me along the way. The first thing I plan to do is plop quays from your new collection!
Shoutouts to Mariina, Hennka, Miska, Jon, Joe & Zeke for taking such great care of us at #PDXCON2018.
