Camberwell Magistrate’s Court
It looks somewhat like an elephant or a harvester, right?
Camberwell Magistrate’s Court is a former court building from Camberwell in South London. The building is abandoned since 2018 and will eventually be redeveloped by a private investor, entirely changing the building’s character.
The building represents the typical post war international style that was common in many European cities. While it can probably not be called pretty, I found it striking how the architects found ways to bring in small details such as the central plaster ornament above the entrance.
The building is from 1970
Representing this interesting piece of architecture can also be seen as an attempt to preserve the building’s current appearance in a digital format.
It’s a very simple model. No sub buildings, no custom shaders.
