Arch of Hadrian [ROUMELI | GR]
Information on the building:
Hadrian’s Arch is a Roman Triumphal Arch in Athens, Greece. It is believed it was built in 131 or 132 AD to celebrate the arrival of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. It was crossed by a road going from the center of Athens (near the Acropolis) to the complex of structures on the eastern side of the city, which included the Temple of Olympian Zeus (which can be seen behind the Arch of Hadrian in the pictures). Nowadays the Arch of Hadrian is located next to Vasillis Amalias Avenue and is daily crossed by thousands of vehicles, it is also a very popular tourist attraction.
