Train: SWB 74ZE Series NC 2x
With SWB in Bonn having been among the launch customers of the B-Wagen LRV, their units were also among the first to reach the end of their service life. That was in the early 2000’s. A few B100s were replaced by vrand new LRVs, but Bonn’s financial situation did not permit a large fleet renewal. What was done instead then was a major overhaul program for the 1970’s models that radically changed their appearance both inside and out and made them useful for another 20 or 30 years.
