Description:

The ANZ tower, also known as 161/163 Castlereagh St, or the ANZ Bank Centre, was completed in early 2013. This 193m tall recreation modifies the rear plaza a bit to work on flat surfaces.

This has a couple of notable features
– the whole north-eastern facade (the crescent part) uses rotor shaders for its windows. This was mainly to preserve the visible columns that run up the building. I used this to display interior illumination, which gives it a bit more depth.
– There is a penthouse on the top 2 floors of the building, with a rooftop balcony and terrace with pool. I toyed around with plopping some furniture props inside the penthouse but they stuck out a bit so I left it empty and put down some floorlights.
– It includes an additive submesh. I’m aware that Ronyx explicitly recommends not using additive with building submeshes, but the faces are so close to other objects that as a prop they were fading no matter what setting I used. I removed the lines to delete the LOD and included an LOD and it seems to look okay. This submesh lights up the logo at the roof, backlights the logos at the street entrance, and illuminates the light sculpture in the rear plaza.

It is a 8×7 unique building, same stats as Deutsche Bank Place. I’ve included a RICO definition file to convert it into a ploppable office building if you use that, with 80 workplaces and 1 household (if that works).

Main mesh
15,617 tris / 341 LOD
4096×1024 / 256×256 LOD

Submesh (glass)
386 tris / no LOD
512×1024 / n/a

Submesh (additive)
650 / 550 LOD
512×128 / 128×32 LOD
