R9 Vintage NYC Subway Train – Vanilla and MOM Compatible
The kings of the IND ride again.
These R9 cars represent the last batch of 9 nearly identical car classes (R1 through R9) purchased for the Independent Subway System of New York City from 1930 through 1940. They ran long into the unification and even the MTA era, with the final cars retired in 1977, making this train perfect for your 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, and even 1970s cities.
Operating on all "lettered" routes in New York City for more than 40 years, the "Arnines" became a New York City icon. Many examples have survived into preservation, and are staples on New York Transit Museum excursions and fan trips.
In game, this train is 6 cars long, fitting most stations without overhang, and features dynamic directional signage on the sides of the car, and custom dynamic announcements, giving your city an extra level of detail never before seen in game.

Dynamic signage! The train will show "uptown" or "downtown" depending on what direction it’s going, with blank rollsigns on the prop.
Dynamic announcements! Realistic announcements play at stations, with different lines for each direction of the train. (Requires Vehicle Effects mod)

Specs:
Speed/Acceleration: Same as vanilla metro
Tris: A reasonable amount
Textures: Everything shares one 1k equivalent texture and two 256x textures. LOD textures are 64px. Use LSM for true texture sharing.
