Description:

2 Trethewey Drive is an office building formerly home to the York Board of Education. The building was constructed in 2 parts, with the first part (the 3 story building) being constructed in 1960. The building was expanded in 1971 with a 4 story expansion. The new extension linked the building to the neighbouring "York Memorial Collegiate" with the school occupying the first 2 floors with a new cafeteria and Library respectively. The building servied as the Boards headquartes until 1998 when Toronto was amalgamated and its school boards merged into the Toronto District School Board. Today the building is still owned by the TDSB and as used as the office for the Continuing Education Department.
