Bahntower
The Berlin Bahntower is a 103m tall steel and glass skyscraper that looks over Potsdamer Platz and the Tiergarten in Berlin. It was designed by Helmut Jahn and completed in the year 2000. Along with its two wedge-shaped neighbors, Kollhoff Tower and Piano Hochhaus, it has become an instantly recognizable landmark and essential aspect of the city skyline.
This model uses a base building and 3 semi-transparent sub-meshes in an attempt to capture its unique look and lighting. Getting it to "feel right" in-game has been quite a challenge, and many of my attempts wound up in the recycle bin. Finally, I’ve come up with something that I like and am ready to share. I hope you like it too!
