4 Lane Strauss Bridge
Rusty old bridge with 4 lanes of traffic that will open for ship traffic. Place it over a ship or ferry path and it will do its thing. Bigger brother of the Strauss Road Bridge. Same textures, same animation, 2 extra lanes. Extend the bridge with the included 4 Lane Strauss Bridge Road to complete the crossing over larger bodies of water. Place the 4 Lane Strauss Bridge Column under it to support it. The Bridge can be found in the road intersections menu, or you can use Find-It.
Vessels small enough to fit under the bridge don’t need to wait for the bridge opening, fine tune the height of the bridge with Move-It so it only opens for the traffic you want it to open for.
You will need to subscribe to the Custom Animation Loader mod and the Movable Bridge Mod. Fine Road Anarchy is needed to place it over a Ferry path. And, because there is a lot of texture re-use, the Loading Screen Mod is recommended.
The overhead counterweight design of this bridge was first used by the bridge engineer Joseph Strauss who later oversaw the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. Bridges of this design are all over the world but this one is inspired by the bridges in the Antwerp harbor.
