Siemens Nexas EMU – 3 Car [Train]
The Siemens Nexas EMU (commonly known as Siemens trains) was constructed between 2002 and 2005 for the Melbourne rail network, and is currently operated by Metro Trains Melbourne throughout the city’s northern, western and south-east suburbs. Despite being plagued by mechanical issues in their early years of service, the Siemens has been generally well-received by Melburnians thanks to its smooth and quiet ride.
