香港垃圾桶
Hong Kong rubbish bins. These are the rubbish bins that appears on the streets of Hong Kong. In the peak period in 2016, the city had over 40,000 rubbish bins positioned throughout. This indicates that 175 people are sharing one bin in the population of the city. However, a significant decrease in the number of bins is happening as a result of the government’s waste reduction effort in recent years.
There are 5 different types of rubbish bin in this pack.
– Orange
Belongs to the FEHD (Food and Environment Hygiene Department), vastly placed on streets.
– Orange 2 (smaller opening)
Also belongs to the FEHD, slowly replacing the former orange one since 2016.
– Green
Belongs to the LCSD (Leisure and Culture Service Department), placed in parks, sports grounds, and beaches.
– Yellow
Also belongs to the LCSD, placed in plazas and other public areas
– Purple
Belongs to the FEHD, the predecessor of the orange rubbish bins, got replaced in 2008.
