The Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) is the outer gate of Sensō-ji (Asakusa Kannon Temple), a famous ancient Buddhist temple located in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. With its lantern and statues, it attracts tourists from around the world. First built in 941 AD, it has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. The gate we are seeing today was rebuilt in 1960.
