Merchants Exchange Building
I am concentrating on commissions and personal projects exclusively in CS2 from now on. As a result I will no longer be updating or addressing any issues with my CS1 assets. Please come over to CS2 so you can continue to enjoy my assets.
The Merchants Exchange Building is an office building located at 465 California Street, San Francisco, completed in 1904.
The skyscraper was designed by architects Daniel Burnham and Willis Polk in Beaux-Arts, and features a modern steel-frame skeleton and a facade of Tennessee granite and brick sheathing. It was one of the tallest buildings in the city at the time of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
Although it was one of the few buildings to survive the quake and subsequent fires, it was heavily damaged. The City believed a quick repair would help create a sense of hope and security for many San Franciscans, and this was accomplished by Polk, with the help of nascent architect Julia Morgan.
This asset was commissioned by nicocn383 for his fictional city of Strathcona based on a mix of Seattle, WA and Vancouver, B.C. Essentially a rainy and green North American city on the Pacific coast.
A big "thank you" to nicocn383 for providing the excellent screenshots.
If you want to remove the US flag on the roof all you have to do is rename the plopped building in game. To get it back just delete the custom name.

The asset can be found in the ‘Unique Buildings’ tab.
Included with this asset is RICO compatibility which allows the building to function as a large office. If you subscribe to the Ploppable Rico Revisited mod this asset will appear in the RICO ‘Offices’ tab.
I’ve tried to make this asset as realistic as possible and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. The model has been optimised as much as possible without compromising the structure and detail of the original building. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.
If you would like this asset converted or are interested in commissioning a new building for Cities: Skylines II please follow this link.[forms.gle]
